The room was spacious and comfortable, similarly the bathroom. The accommodation was above a pub called The Bay Horse but we needed to call at a restaurant called Spice opposite to register and pick up the keys. Once we had worked that out it was straightforward. We were able to leave the keys in the door in the morning which was convenient. Parking was available behind the Spice restaurant.

The room was clean , and had everything I needed for a 1 night's stay. We had an Indian meal at the restaurant across the road(all one owner, but different businesses : the Bay Horse, Spice Restaurant, and the rooms ) and were given a 10% discount. The food was really good, the best I've had for years. The Bay Horse was a nice pub, and the bar man was very helpful

Having read some of the reviews, I was a little worried after I booked it! I shouldn't have been! It was ideal for work, as it was only 1/2 mile to travel. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water. There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk for my 3 night stay. Yes it is on a dual carraigeway but it is is a 30mph road . I never had a problem crossing the road. If you are unsure or have children, the crossing is about 100metres away, not 1/2 mile as someone said in their review! The noise from the road is very minimal! I slept with the window open and never had a problem. The noise from the pub, well I can't comment on that as I heard nothing! (But my stay was mid week) Overall, very pleased with my stay and would not hesitate to stay there again if working nearby.

I was so glad to find a clean, comfortable room at a cheap price within easy reach of public transport and restaurants. When I am travelling alone I do not care about fancy furnishings, piles of cushions and so on. I wish Scotland had more hotels like The Bay Horse.

The room was huge ..very clean ..beds were comfy ..would stay again ... just down the road from the college . So great place to walk the dog b4 bed ... it was closed but the grounds were huge so we let her off the lead to stretch her legs ... people were lovely very welcoming ...thankyou also theres parking ...for the money it was excellent

Everything. The airy room. Spacious bathroom. Being located close to Hamilton West railway station. Having a pub on the ground floor!

The size and presentation of the room. It was clean and airy and due to the limited number available, very quiet. The location was okay as well due to the fact the town centre was within walking distance. A pub downstairs too!

Accommodation clean and roomy own bathroom had a beautiful meal in spice across the road and a cracking pub downstairs great prices and atmosphere and karaoke had a great night here for a show at townhouse would definately stay again what more do you need room, drink a d a great curry

Check in and parking at Indian Spice Cuisine ML3 0AY opposite Bay Horse. Bothwell Road is 2 lanes in each direction with central divider and turning gaps. Came off M74 J5 and Sat Nav took me straight there and on correct side. Reasonably good night's sleep despite the heatwave we are experiencing.

Rooms were very clean and well appointed with TV and tea making facilities. Good bathrooms and nice bed linen/towels
